Cardiovascular Surgery PA in North Carolina - No Call, 7-On/7-Off

Inpatient-only PA role in Charlotte with block scheduling and no OR or ICU responsibilities.

Highlights

• No call; all shifts are during the day
• 7-on/7-off blocks; enjoy every other week off
• Temporary privileges available for NC-licensed PAs

Practice Setting

• Inpatient floor management only; no ICU
• Two campuses within 20 minutes of each other
• Team includes 3 APPs, 15 RNs, and full office staff
• Patients are cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases

Schedule

• Daytime only, minimum 40 hours/week
• Flexible block options, including 7-on/7-off
• No weekends, evenings, or call required

Cases and Procedures

• Rounding, consults, admissions, and discharges
• Bedside procedures: chest tube removals and pleurodesis
• 8-14 patients per shift
• No OR or surgical responsibilities

Requirements

• Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners
• Must be board-certified
• Active North Carolina license or compact license (IMLC not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS required
