Description
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Washington University Medicine in St. Louis is seeking a General Thoracic Surgeon to join our nationally recognized program. New graduates are welcome to apply. This position is based at Memorial Hospital Belleville located at 4500 Memorial Drive, Belleville, IL 62226.
Job Details
-The primary focus of this position will be clinical activities spanning the breadth of general thoracic surgery.
-With our program covering multiple facilities, this position will provide clinical care primarily at one affiliate location with secondary responsibilities at other locations (including Barnes Jewish Hospital), if needed. The affiliate location has an established Cardiothoracic surgery program.
-An important part of the position will be a leadership role representing the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the lung cancer screening programs across the entire Barnes Jewish Corporation healthcare system.
-Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience.
-Opportunity to participate in the lung transplant program if interested
Basic Qualifications
Completion of an ACGME Thoracic Surgery Fellowship Program
Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible
Ability to obtain Missouri license
Minimally invasive or robotic surgery skills in general thoracic surgery
