- Licensed Massage Therapist
Description
We are hiring Licensed Massage Therapists practicing within the Therapeutic Scope of Massage who are passionate about providing high-quality, client-centered care. We value quality over quantity and schedule 15–30 minutes between sessions to allow therapists to better support each client.
This is a W-2 or 1099 position with weekday and Saturday hours available. We are seeking therapists interested in long-term growth, with clear opportunities to advance into more specialized scopes of care as experience and training increase.
Scopes of Practice & Positions Available
Our practice is structured to support therapist growth. Depending on your training, experience, and interests, you may be hired into one or more of the following scopes:
1. Self-Care & Wellness Therapist
Services: Therapeutic Massage, Sports Massage, Detox Massage
Therapists in this scope focus on musculoskeletal health, mobility, and recovery for clients without complex medical conditions.
Requirements:
- Ability to provide deep tissue and myofascial release
- Strong understanding of range of motion and functional movement
- Experience treating:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Sciatic nerve pain
- Frozen shoulder
- TMJ disorder
- Completion of a minimum 14-hour CEU in Lymphatic Massage
- Detox Massage is our wellness-based lymphatic service (training provided to meet practice standards)
Compensation:
$50–$65 per 60-minute session (+ tips), based on experience
2. Pregnancy Care Therapist
Services: Prenatal Massage, Postpartum Massage
Therapists in this scope support clients through pregnancy and postpartum recovery with specialized, compassionate care.
Requirements:
- Experience working with:
- Sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy
- Edema
- First-time mothers
- Physiological changes across all trimesters
- Minimum 14-hour CEU in Prenatal Massage
- Minimum 14-hour CEU in Lymphatic Massage
- Postpartum Massage CEU (14 hours preferred)
- In-house training provided to meet service expectations
Compensation:
$60–$70 per 60-minute session (+ tips), based on experience
3. Lymphatic Drainage Therapist
Services: Condition Management, Pre- & Post-Surgical Massage
This scope focuses on medically complex cases and requires advanced clinical training.
Requirements:
- Experience working with edema, including:
- Lymphedema
- Lipedema
- Experience with post-surgical clients (orthopedic, reconstructive, breast cancer recovery)
- 40+ hour Manual Lymphatic Drainage certification
- Oncology Massage training and/or breast cancer rehabilitation experience preferred
Compensation:
$70–$80 per 60-minute session (+ tips), based on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Adapt sessions to client needs, goals, and health considerations
- Maintain a safe, professional, clean, and healing environment
- Educate clients on progress and appropriate at-home care
- Complete SOAP notes for each session
- Clean and prepare treatment room after each appointment
- Collaborate with the team to support client outcomes and practice standards
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Massage Therapy License (required)
- Current liability insurance
- 5+ years of hands-on experience
- CPR Certified
- Strong understanding of treatment customization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Resides in Northern Virginia and can easily commute to Vienna
- Open to continued learning and mentorship
- Team-oriented, motivated, and grounded in professionalism
