Reliant Medical Group has an immediate opening for a Preauthorization Analyst. This is a high-volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thoroughly dealing with our members over the phone. This individual will be responsible for processing surgical prior authorizations for multiple specialties including Ortho, Podiatry, Gen Surgery, Urology, and Plastic surgery for Reliant Medical Group surgeons.
Schedule (38.75 hours): Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm EST
If you reside within the state of Massachusetts, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Please note you may be required to come into the office for onsite training if needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Processes surgical authorizations and denials per specific payor's guidelines
- Screen for member eligibility
- Retrieve clinical notes to complete our electronic medical record, and accurately enter information into the computer system

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of medical office or healthcare support-related experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work remotely in the state of Massachusetts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the health care Industry and with healthcare insurance
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
- A clerical or administrative support background
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 to $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
