Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, a prestigious and nationally recognized institution, is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hospitalist to join our Division of Academic Specialists of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ASOG) on the clinician educator track.
Highlights of the Position:

Cutting-Edge Expertise: Work alongside faculty with advanced training in a full range of general obstetric and gynecologic conditions, offering innovative treatments and personalized care plans to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient Care: Provide exceptional gynecology and obstetrics inpatient care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Surgical Emergencies: Manage gynecologic surgical emergencies.
Obstetric Care: Deliver comprehensive inpatient obstetric care and perform deliveries.
Supervision: Oversee the gynecology inpatient, consult, and transfer service.
Education: Supervise, teach, and evaluate top-notch residents and medical students, fostering their growth and excellence.
Work Schedule:
Shifts: Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with 12-hour shifts, 12 times a month.
Collaborative Environment:
Team Support: Join a dynamic team of nine ASOG faculty, and the entire OBGYN faculty, including subspecialist support in every area.
Large Patient Volume: Care for a substantial volume of both obstetric and gynecologic patients, ensuring continuous and diverse clinical experience.
Modern Facilities:
Outpatient Services: Provided on the main campus and at various clinical locations across the Midwest.
Inpatient Services: Housed in the state-of-the-art Parkview Tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, with:
- 18 L&D rooms
- 3 ORs (including one for the Fetal Care Program)
- 18 antepartum rooms
- 36 postpartum rooms
- State-of-the-art gynecologic ORs
- An OBGYN designated assessment center
