Main Line Health, a distinguished and nationally recognized health system in the Philadelphia suburbs, is seeking an outstanding Colorectal Surgeon to join an internationally recognized Division of Colorectal Surgery within a dynamic academic and community medical system. The surgeon will be part of Main Line HealthCare, a 600-physician multi-specialty practice.
We are seeking a talented, minimally invasive colorectal surgeon with a minimum of 3 years' experience to contribute to and advance a well-established program dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes, clinical innovation, and medical education. The colorectal surgeon will operate across the system at Riddle Hospital, Paoli Hospital, Bryn Mawr Hospital, and Lankenau Medical Center.
Clinical Responsibilities
Must be fellowship-trained and board-certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery. Our program offers a robust, multidisciplinary approach to colorectal diseases, and the successful candidate will join a highly coordinated team, including participation in our NAPRC-accredited Rectal Cancer Center.
Candidates must have expertise in minimally invasive colorectal surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
Clinical responsibilities are focused on colorectal surgery and do require general surgery call. However, candidates with an interest in incorporating acute care surgery into their practice may have opportunities to do so.
Scholarly Activity
Main Line Health currently supports a non-accredited Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery Fellowship and a General Surgery Residency based at Lankenau Medical Center. As a recognized robotic colorectal training center, the incoming surgeon will actively participate in teaching and mentoring trainees.
Candidates with a strong interest in surgical education may be considered for leadership roles within the residency program. Opportunities to develop expertise in graduate medical education are available as part of the faculty appointment.
Our research enterprise is anchored by the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR), which supports basic science, outcomes research, and clinical trials. Faculty appointments within LIMR and access to seed funding for research initiatives are available.
Main Line Health partners academically with Thomas Jefferson University, and the selected candidate will be supported in obtaining a clinical faculty appointment.
