The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute is actively recruiting Physician Assistants to join our rapidly expanding Adult Cardiac Surgery Division.
The successful candidate will practice the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and provide support across the Operating Room (first assist), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), inpatient units, and clinic.
Key opportunities include:
First assist in adult cardiac surgical procedures
Performance of endoscopic vein harvest
Pre and Post Operative management of patients in various clinical settings
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Existing cardiac surgical experience is preferred. State medical licensure eligibility required.
