Deaconess Specialty Physicians/Cancer Service Line
Deaconess Specialty Physicians is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join our dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative, resource-rich environment that is committed to surgical excellence in benign and malignant conditions of the small bowel, colon, and rectum, offering a full spectrum of care including traditional surgery, robotic/laparoscopic procedures, and endoscopy.
Position Highlights
Guaranteed Base Salary: $450,000 for the first 12 months, plus additional compensation with quality incentive bonus and APP supervision
Lucrative Compensation Model: Productivity-based earnings with investment opportunity in the Evansville Surgery Center (joint venture with Deaconess and community surgeons)
Sign-On Bonus: $50K + training stipends available for current fellows

Cancer Center Integration: Work closely in an ACS CoC accredited cancer center that includes strong partnerships with gastroenterology, IR/radiology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, hepatobiliary Surgery, and GI pathologists.
Support services embedded in the clinic: social work, dieticians, PM&R, palliative care
Advanced Endoscopic and Interventional Services: Full access to therapeutic endoscopy, interventional radiology, and other subspecialty services for complex case support
Robotic Surgery Access at 2 campuses: Extensive access to multiple robotic platforms at both sites.
Multidisciplinary Excellence
Work alongside a team of experts from various specialties to provide patient-centered and comprehensive care to our patients with a GI tumor board already established.
We are actively pursuing NAPRC accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to delivering the highest standards in multidisciplinary colorectal cancer care.
Other specialized tumor boards include Urologic, Head and Neck, Cutaneous, Gynecologic, Thoracic, Breast, Neurologic, and Hematologic Malignancies

Inpatient and outpatient integrated practice with NP/PA support
Call Structure
Colorectal call coverage 1:3 with APP support
No general surgery or trauma call
