Company Overview
The Deaconess Family Medicine Residency Program is a fully accredited, unopposed, hospital-based Family Medicine Residency with six positions at each of the first, second and third year levels, for a full resident complement of 18 residents.
The Family Medicine Residency Program at Deaconess Hospital provides in-depth training in the delivery of comprehensive family-oriented health care. The three-year residency program meets all training requriements for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
The program focuses on the holistic approach to patient care, in the true tradition of family medicine. With 18 residents, there is ample opportunity for individual instruction and resident interaction. In this fully supported program, the resident is able to deal with every aspect and complexity of patient care from the nursery or the ICU, to the ward or the labor and delivery suite.
The program is backed by an outstanding, dedicated faculty who teach because they believe in education and family medicine. The staff brings a diversity of experience, education and views to the program. Their caring and dedication to one-on-one teaching allows residents to take responsibility in patient care and develop confidence and independence.
