HonorHealth is actively recruiting a board-certified/board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our nationally recognized Cardiovascular Institute.
Our Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program is now fully launched, with five outstanding early outcomes, and continues to expand rapidly. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, innovative program at an exciting time of momentum and success. Expansive list of LVAD currently undergoing evaluation.
We welcome both experienced physicians and new graduates who are passionate about advanced heart failure care, mechanical circulatory support, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Program Highlights
- Established and growing LVAD program with excellent early outcomes
- Continued development of a state-of-the-art Advanced Heart Disease program
- Collaboration with cardiac surgeons and advanced heart failure specialists
- Active clinical trials underway with opportunities for investigator involvement
- Strong infrastructure supporting temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices
- Interest in pulmonary hypertension is welcomed but not required
Academic & Research Opportunities
- Formal collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), including:
- ASU School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering
- Opportunities for teaching, curriculum development, and mentorship
- Participation in cutting-edge cardiovascular innovation and translational research
- Engagement with the HonorHealth Research & Innovation Institute
- Ability to contribute to fellowship education and training programs
Practice Details
The HonorHealth Advanced Heart Disease Group is part of a network of 70+ cardiologists across the system.
- LVAD Location: Scottsdale Shea Medical Center (SSMC)
- Supported by dedicated VAD clinics staffed with Physicians and NPs in the community practices
- Shared inpatient responsibilities among advanced heart failure team (Surgeons, HF Cardiologist and APPs)
- Talented LVAD Coordinator
- EPIC electronic health record
