Description
Duke Health is seeking a talented Chiropractor to join our faculty in Durham, North Carolina. As national leaders in research, patient care, and education, Duke Health is experiencing tremendous growth and is currently seeking a candidate with great clinical acumen to provide patients and families with high-quality compassionate care.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in the evaluation and management of spine and other musculoskeletal conditions, and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and innovation. This individual will work closely with neurosurgical and orthopaedic physicians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, pain specialists, and advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes and expand access to non-operative musculoskeletal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation and conservative management of patients with spine, neck, back, and other musculoskeletal conditions utilizing evidence-based care.
- Perform thorough musculoskeletal and neurologic examinations to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, rehabilitative exercise, patient education, and lifestyle modification.
- Identify patients requiring advanced imaging, interventional procedures, or surgical consultation and facilitate appropriate referrals within Duke Health.
- Contribute to clinical education by participating in the teaching of residents, fellows, medical students, and other healthcare learners within an academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
- Current or eligible licensure as a chiropractor in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience practicing within an integrated healthcare system or multidisciplinary academic medical center is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, patient-centered care, teaching, and continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
