Well-known practice in the area, with a service population of over one million. This highly-regarded practice was established in 1981.
Associated with a state-of-the-art laser vision correction center and an ophthalmology only ambulatory surgery center with LenSx Femto Laser and Alcon Unity phaco machines. Two satellite clinics also offer office-based surgery suites with cataract surgery capability. Optos, DSLT and Valeda also onsite.
We have optical shops and optometric support for eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist with an interest in cataract surgery. Fellowship training in cornea, glaucoma, or plastics welcome. This doctor-led practice values your opinion and allows you to weigh in on operational advancements.
The ophthalmologist will see 30-40 patients per day and perform 15-20 surgery and laser procedures per week initially, with increased volumes anticipated. Minimal call responsibilities.
Candidate must be licensed in the State and ABO certified or eligible.
Practice Features
- COA certified support staff who room patients and perform refractions; scribe for doctor
- DSLT for glaucoma; Valeda for dry AMD
- EPIC EMR system with AI ambient dictation technology available (Microsoft DAX copilot). This electronic medical record system is available at both the
practice and the ASC. - You will have the ability to work with, and teach, optometry students, as well as medical residents
- You will have the ability to expand specialty areas of interest, including cornea, LASIK, MIGS, AMD, and plastics
- One week of primary call, with several weeks of back-up call, per year provides an excellent work-life balance
- Salary guarantee with incentive package and bonus structure, with a potential for ownership in the practice and ophthalmology only ASC
- Working with physicians from the Froedtert and ThedaCare system.
