Description
The UCLA Cardiovascular Outcomes Research Laboratories (CORELAB), is an internationally recognized group focused on statistical analysis of large healthcare datasets. This highly productive lab investigates socioeconomic disadvantage, variations in quality and costs, as well as new methods of analyzing cohort data. We are recruiting fellows for the 2027 academic year for a period of 1-3 years. The research fellow should ideally be postgraduate and enrolled in a surgical residency program. Medical school graduates who have not entered residency may be considered if highly qualified.
The trainee will be well positioned to pursue a career in academic surgery and will be expected to participate in all relevant aspects of research including data analysis and manuscript preparation. Requirements
-Proficiency in MS Windows and related programs
-Programming familiarity in STATA/R/Python preferred
-MD or equivalent degree
-English proficiency
